Principles of Visual Design

Principles of Visual Design deals with the grammar and spelling of the timeless visual language common to all people. The course leads students towards subjective action through an analysis of perception, cognition, visual knowledge, and ability. Visual grammar studied includes Figure-ground, sound, rhythm, and color. The interaction of these factors and their synthesis is a subjective decision, for which this course provides valuable experience through manual and photographic exercises.
