In ungewisse Zeiten zu gehen, ins Blaue hinein, heißt auch, sich treiben zu lassen, die Richtung zu wechseln, zu improvisieren, neue Wege zu finden, zu unbekannten Orten aufzubrechen. 

INTO THE BLUE bildet den Abschluss einer Ausstellungsreihe, in der Dozierende, Mitarbeitende und Assoziierte der Neuen Schule für Fotografie mit eigenen Arbeiten in Dialog mit den Studierenden und der Öffentlichkeit treten. Sie gibt Einblicke in laufende Projekte oder Werkarchive, deren Spektrum sich zwischen Darkroom-Experimenten, analogen Einzelbildern, assoziativen Sequenzen, engagierter Dokumentarfotografie, konzeptionellen Inszenierungen und konzisen Momentaufnahmen bewegt. Die Ausstellung repräsentiert damit die Diversität an künstlerischen Positionen, die die über 15-jährige Tätigkeit der Neuen Schule für Fotografie geprägt haben, und eröffnet zugleich Perspektiven für die Zukunft – auf dem Weg ins Blaue.

Die Ausstellung ist Teil des EMOP Berlins und findet in Kooperation mit Kulturprojekte Berlin statt. Die Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin ist „Partner*in des EMOP Berlins“.

Going into uncertain times, into the blue, also means letting oneself drift, changing direction, improvising, finding new paths, setting out for unknown places.

INTO THE BLUE marks the end of a series of exhibitions in which lecturers, staff and associates of the Neue Schule für Fotografie enter through their works into dialogue with students and the public. It provides insights into ongoing projects or archives of works with a spectrum ranging from darkroom experiments, analogue single images, associative sequences, committed documentary photography to conceptual stagings and concise snapshots. The exhibition thus represents the diversity of artistic positions that have shaped the more than 15 years of activity of the Neue Schule für Fotografie, and at the same time opens up perspectives for the future – heading off into the blue.
